I have to say...this sancerre really surprised me. typically from this vintage acidity took over the fruit on the mid pallet, but on this particular vineyard there is a beautiful note of melon and slight tropical aromas, but when it hits the mid palate the acidity spreads throughout the fruit complexity smoothly across your palate. the finish is approximately 45+ seconds which for this 2011 is exceptional. very surprising and enjoyable — 10 years ago
