Drinking the 2000 out of a magnum; tannins are still bold and leathery on this GSM, an the finish is beautifully long with evolutions from bright cherry to a subtle citron and orange peel. Amazing! 11/15 — 9 years ago
Fresh from the tank (bottled just now, en route to Alabama). Showing a beautiful balance, crisp acidity and a nice round mouth weight. — 10 years ago
'09. Lightly sweet cranberry nose gives way to a brown-sugar/cigar/raspberry-watermelon palate. Though I prefer his Ca Momi, I'd say well done Mr. De Conti. — 9 years ago
The trick with this wine is patience. The nose first revealed a redwood & VOC, but a deep cherry has evolved. The tannins are beautifully silky, and the mellowness of pyroxenes has crafted a beautiful bouquet. Totally in its window; 7/15 (1997 vintage) — 9 years ago
Showing amazingly this evening (5/15); hard to believe this '99 "can drive." Oxidization is more reminiscent of a 7 yr, with supple velvet tannins. Big score. — 10 years ago
'09 Rosey Cedar-Wood, currants, and spice. Everything nice. 1/16 — 9 years ago
Showing beautiful at 21, deep golden (almost light amber) hue with a gorgeous trace oxidization from bottle age. This 1994 can drink itself! — 9 years ago
Large notes of Eucalyptus on the nose, but the structure of the wine has held up solid. Tannins are a light velvet. Was $15.95 msrp at release; 7/15 — 9 years ago
What I imagine a pre-phlox self rooted late 1800's Bordeaux tasted like when it was in it's window. Amazed at the quality that came out of this SBC Bordeaux. Truly the benchmark for the "New World". Out of a 1.5l; 4/15 — 10 years ago

The Can Franc still needs some time to soften; not sure if it will handle much more cellar time. Acidity is low on the palate, but still reserved at 14%. Otherwise drinking solidly at this point, with velvety tannins. — 9 years ago
