A very natural wine with low alcohol (12,5 %), very fruity, mild. Straw colour, unfiltered, not clear, like a light pear juice. Overripe fallen apples, peach and honeybush tea with light scent of vanilla sticks on the nose. Fresh, full aroma of yellow peach, Japanese pears, muscat, quince. A powerful finish, the medium acidity slightly overpowers the extreme fruitiness. A demanding wine. I actually prefer the Intellego Chenin. — 10 years ago

Fairly dark colour, yet still purple which shows medium development, plums, cherries on the nose, hints of spices (thyme, lavender, aniseed), some alcoholic sharpness, round, spicy, not fruity, fairly strong taste, a bit fat, stingy acidity, pleasant but lacks finesse, nice for a glass or two. — 10 years ago

I opened a bottle of 2008 and it was corked. I opened a bottle of 2009, decanted it, left the wine breathe for a few hours and yet it's hardly fresh. Smells like a diary closet full of old clothes. Taste of blackberries, is drinkable but not exciting. Tannins are soft.
Maybe another slightly off bottle. Did Getwine sell leftover stock at more than 50% off for nothing ? I will not find out again.

Screwtop, so not for keeping ? Fairly light on the nose, intriguing, cucumber freshness, cardammon and light milk coffee aroma, complex at 14,5 % alc., appealing multi-layered melange (cab franc based with petit verdot, merlot and malbec) , fruity with a fairly spicy coffee flavour with herbal undertones, distinct tannins, youngish like a shiraz. VERY nice ! — 10 years ago

Many top estates are using screwcaps on their best wines , after testing over time they are a perfect closure . Cheers

Fairly dark colour, almost metallic red, ripe, dark cherries on the nose, full, concentrated fruit, wild strawberries and loads of cherries on the palate, dark, earthy undertones yet elegant, precious. Not a light, fruity pinot noir, rather warm and full flavour with a deep, long finish. Still I prefer 2010 Springfield pinot. — 10 years ago

Pure temptation ! A wonderful, clear, elegant, stylish shiny red with a delicately perfumed, fresh, fruity nose. A sniffer wine. Light, super fresh taste of forest strawberries and rose petals, enticing sweetness, smooth, aromatic, a very special festive wine. Lingering, warm, makes you want more. Not a dinner wine but excellent on its own. — 10 years ago
