Visited this vineyard in VA and it was the best of their bunch, which is why we walked away with a bottle. I like my cabs smokey and this is on the better end of the Virginia scale, but not a standout. A bit watery and a twinge sour, too. Still enjoying it on a cozy winter night. — 10 years ago

Brought back from our trip to Sonoma! Loved the family heritage and marketing of the vineyard, and loved the complexity and flavor of this tasty cab. The smokiness to it makes for a great "by the fire" wine in fall. — 11 years ago

I may be partial because of the fond memories that accompany this wine's bouquet and profile but it's fantastic. It evolves while it breathes and every sip unveils a new secret. Pepper on the nose, dark fruit and smokey leather on the finish. Yum.
