Lacks the fruit and subtle flavours of a domain leflaive puligny but very drinkable. — 7 years ago
It is drinking beautifully with nice soft tannins with an abundance of dark berries. It is fantastic for a Shiraz that’s 24 years old this year. The inky blackness of youth has matured to include shades of brown. It’s probably at its peak but I shall keep at least one bottle to try again in 5-10 years! — 5 years ago
Dominated by the high alcohol content (16.2%) especially on the nose. Very big with smooth tannins — 7 years ago
Double decanted 2 hours before serving. The nose was huge with aroma of spices. It was almost chewy in my mouth. Continued to improve even after another 3 hours! — 6 years ago
Brilliant as usual. Will improve over the next few years. — 7 years ago
Has opened up considerably since the last time I opened a bottle 2 years ago. Starting to drink very nicely! — 7 years ago

I eventually decided to open this last night for my 20th anniversary. I had a moment of regret when I checked the current price! But no regrets after tasting it! Beautiful nose, long and complex on the palate. Tannins are soft but still full of fruit. Perfect colour. Deep ruby red with some brown at the rim. Delicious! It can do with another 10 or even 20 more years in the cellar. I shall revisit this on my Silver and if I’m lucky Golden anniversary! — 5 years ago
