Enjoying some white Burgundy on an urban adventure with my amazing nephew — 8 years ago
Boysenberry and black pepper. Silky, dreamy, mid-weight on the palette - but full bore on flavor. Paired the with my mother-in-law's garlic-driven 🇨🇺 Cuban #boliche. Pretty much a festival of flavor. Gracias @ehrenjordan — 8 years ago
Dark and lovely with a sly elegance and a strong core. Ample fruit wrapped around firm-but-not rigid graphite. A total delight, especially with a round of cheeses and charcuterie. — 8 years ago
Amarone and chocolate. Two great tastes that taste great together. — 8 years ago
Great, earthy Nebbiolo with silky mouthfeel and sturdy tannins to stand up to sausage and cannellini beans and a lamb ragú. — 8 years ago
Simply delicious. Like an apple tart drizzled with honey. A fantastic mouthfeel and a caressing finish with a honeysuckle kiss. Made from 80% Garganega, one of the great unsung grapes on the planet, from the Veneto (natch). Enjoy this with anything tasty, especially a bright, sunny afternoon. — 8 years ago
Classic B-flat Barolo - meaning it sings in the best key, it's easy to drink and it hits all the right notes - a crescendo of tar and tart fruit, backed by lightly percussive tannins. I got one more bottle, so I can play this tune again later. — 8 years ago
Juan Carlos Coto
A sumptuous marriage of Sangiovese and Cabernet. Deep garnet color and a bountiful nose of dark fruit and earth. Still fresh on the mid-palette, even for an '09, with cocoa notes, firm tannins and plenty of pepper on the finish. Don't get mad, but I paired it with some Pollo Loco for a random dinner with The Wife on a lazy Saturday afternoon. Turns out it was a match made in heaven (both the wine and wife pairing hehe). — 7 years ago
