Open wine bottle, garden full of fountains, peace is the journey and the destination. — 10 years ago
Waited on this ‘14 for a special occasion- 25th Anniversary dinner with my lovely Diana- richness has come out with age, smooth tannins but that dark cherry and Rit’s Earthiness are pronounced from this unmistakable terrior. Oceans Ghost is always a journey through the old sea floor and those cooling ocean influences on the grey earth. Terrific! — a year ago
Happy 21st Anniversary bottle at the lovely Ranch House in Ojai, CA. Could use another year or 2 in the bottle . A little tannic still, notes if cherries, pomegranate and dill. Great mouth feel and even finish — 5 years ago
2010 perfectly aged, ripe fruit, Santa Rita heaven. — 9 years ago
Love this red wine blend from Walla Walla Washington. Bright fruit, well rounded tannins and an even, balanced mouth feel. Terrifis value! — 10 years ago
Picked this up, as a second bottle, at Grocery Warehouse for $7. Didn’t expect too much- but it is drinking well right now. Musky almost forest floor aroma, with notes of pepper, cranberry and mushrooms. The tannins are so soft they coat to the roof of your mouth, we’ll rounded and not heavy on the tongue. — 3 years ago
2016 small lot only 270 cases produced. Always consistently good wines from this winery. Chad Melville does a terrific job with these vineyard specific wines. Their Chardonnays are terrific but their Pinot Noir’s are world class and always earn 90+ pts. This is a gem, thanks Chad! @MellvilleWinery — 4 years ago
2013 effort aging nicely. Consistently one of my favorite wines. Thanks #Babcockwines another superlative effort full of plum and strawberry notes and a finish that leaves a velvety coating in your tongue. — 8 years ago

This is drinking really nicely now- highly recommend- sometimes you have to wait for these older vintages to shine- this one is light &fruity, A nose that will challenge not only your memory but your palate. Notes of strawberry, cherries, a hint of vanilla. It's mouth feel is perhaps the most even ever felt on this tongue. Perhaps amongst one of their best vintages of from the" legend-(wait for it) dairy" terriors in the Santa Rita lowlands that Grey and Frank have offered. Although this label continues to amaze year after year with their simplicity, consistency and value.
One would expect to lay much more for this bottle, which makes it a very good choice. #HitchingPostWines #Sideways #PunotNoir #SantaRitaHills — 9 months ago
