Reddish purple hues. Maroon at the very tip.
Wonderfully intense flavors of cherry, raspberry, dried apricot, spices, and hint of vodka. Very little tannins. Thin texture. Finishes with aroma of dates. — 7 years ago
Exactly as stated on label: chocolate, graham cracker, and hint of marshmallow. They forgot hazelnut and that the marshmallow is roasted. Add the aroma of clean wood smoke and it conjures memories of campfire.
Definitely a sweeter beer with slightly bitter finish.
Would buy again. — 7 years ago
Opened in April 2019. Poured directly into glass without aeration to preserve the fruit flavors. Tannin levels were low.
Thin viscosity. Faint bouquet so maybe orange rind and cherries?
Strong flavors of cherry and black berries. Tastes sweet even though it's dry. Slight black pepper notes afterwards but not strongly spicy. Pretty darn good bottle. Definitely worth buying again. — 6 years ago
Light yellow in color.
Notes of honey, pineapple, green apple, and very faint touch of acetone. Dried nectarines on the exhale.
Tart and delicately sweet, with some slightly bitter undertones. Not bursting with flavors, but crisp and refreshing. Thin on the mouth.
Tastes better after swirling away some of the carbonation which can get in the way of tasting. — 7 years ago
Sniffed pencil early on that dissipated quickly. Bouquet followed up with peach, cherry, red apple and dates after emptying the glass. Chocolate notes on the exhale. Very much enjoyed the aromas.
Enjoyed it much better alone than with smoked ribs I had later. The smokey ribs overpowered the wine for me and bright out sour notes more than I liked while hindering the rest. Alone this wine showed solid amount of dark fruit with a hint of sweetness and very dark chocolate. Thin tannins.
Definitely buying this one again because it was yummy. — 7 years ago
Dense aroma of cherry and blackberry with a whisper of French vanilla ice cream.
Full body red. Aerate to tone down the tannins and serve on the warmer side to open up the flavors. It's too tight chilled. Decanting for an hour should work. I just poured little in my glass at a time and swirled to aerate and warm. Definitely tasted better when it's worked in the mouth to release flavors so I wouldn't recommend sipping this one. — 7 years ago
Delicate and very very tasty. Great all by itself. Hints of fresh mildly ripe strawberry, black olive, chocolate, and almonds. Well balanced flavors right out of bottle. No need to decant. Very low tannins with touch of oak and sweetness. Easy to drink and great all by itself. Yum. — 7 years ago
Flavors of tangerine, honey, and tart pear. Light and crisp. Not syrupy. I smell a flower, but can't pin point which at the moment accompanied by metallic undertones.
Easy to drink alone and refreshing.
Would buy again as a simple bubbly. — 7 years ago
Ugh. The combination of pungent aromatics and menthol notes unfortunately triggered memories of Porta Potties. I know: definitely not good, but I couldn't undo it after triggering that in my brain.
Once past the bouquet. The flavors were dark fruits with a tiny spice kick. It was okay for me. The tannins were on par with unripe banana. — 7 years ago
Jin Park
2016 from Costco.
Enjoyed without aeration. Light refreshing hint of oak, apricot, and cocoa on the nose. Thin texture and very low levels of tannin. Delicate wine with a just a touch of spice. Toasted waffles on the exhale after consumption. I definitely recommend salty foods over sweet to contrast against the light flavors of this wine if pairing with food. The flavors open up at room temperature, and honestly, I enjoyed this wine at room temperature more than chilled. — 5 years ago
