I discovered Carmenere on my first trip to Santiago, Chile. While most if the bottles you would need to have imported, this one you can locate stateside. It is fairly dry with a hint of bark and fruit, though not sweet at all. This goes amazingly well with fish, seafood, and chicken. — 12 years ago
Crisp taste and slightly sweet. It's simple, not complex at all, and would be great in a mixer. For $7.99 a bottle is decent. Fine for a quick grab or for a beginner to wine. — 12 years ago
It's smooth with a slightly heavier flavor than most Chilean Sauvignon Blancs. It isn't crisp or tart nor sweet. It would be great for an intermediate wine adventurer who wants something out of the norm without offending taste buds of your guests. — 12 years ago

Thus is what Chilean Sauvignon Blanc is mean to be. Mild and refreshing flavor with a wonderful aftertaste of grapefruit. Available in Chile in half and full size bottles. It is my go to wine on a warm day or to pair with seafood. — 12 years ago
