I have a weakness for a nice Chianti (heh), and this one delivers. Ripe plum and bright cherries on the nose with a little that Chianti-esque iodine and leather. All of the above on the palate with some nice wet slate. Good acid, not as dry as I expected. Might not stand up to the grilled steaks, but enh — no regrets. — 7 years ago

Less aggressive than I was expecting, but still had some nice acid and the tobacco/berry/stone trifecta of yumminess. Tannins were pretty shy. Pretty a jewel-bright. — 7 years ago

Very soft mouthfeel after breathing for a bit since I used some to sauté some mushrooms. Not gonna lie, I picked it up initially because of the shiny, pretty label — but I was pleased. Not hugely assertive but some plum/berry notes and enough tannins to (if barely) stand up to the steaks. — 6 years ago
