Our first Valpolicella. In my ignorance paired it with steak salad and was disappointed initially by a subtlety I appreciated only after the meal.

Great stucture and nose. Just fininished the last sip over two hours after uncorking and it's mellow. The structure holds but with an elegance worthy of a long, post meal, fireside chat.
