Lemon, green apple, white pepper and bracing fresh acidity. Lovely! — 8 years ago
Initial nose of meat and farmyard gave way to perfumed black fruit, mint, pencil and eucalyptus. The same intense flavors on the palate with celebrity tannins and a lively finish. Drinking very nicely. — 8 years ago
Intense flavors of red cherry, red currant and blackberry with liquorice, black pepper and sweet spice. Packs a punch with 14.5% alcohol and m+ tannins, but nicely balanced. Pairs well with similarly intense foods - spicy meatballs and massaman curry in the second night. — 8 years ago

Couldn't find the Fleurie from Somm2, but this is a lovely example of Cru Beaujolais — 8 years ago
Pepper, red fruit, stewed blackberries. Meaty with well integrated oak - sweet spice and vanilla. Improving over the evening, and was a great match for the Malaysian chicken curry! — 8 years ago
Initial aromas of red fruit, strawberry, cherry with nuances of earth and forest floor. After an hour in the decanter, tertiary aromas took over with savory complexity. Lovely palate with smooth tannins and spice on the finish. More France than New York! — 8 years ago

Father and son duo. Both delicious with fresh red fruit, with herbs, pepper and woodiness. Much more depth with the Fleurie, but the Les Bullands was equally at home with the baked fish dinner. — 8 years ago
