After 2 most prominent Istrian malvasias it's time for the most famous Croatian grasevina-Krauthaker. Nice deep straw yellow with greenish rim. First impression on the nose is just wow! Intense apples and pears and underneath peach, grapefruit and some floral hints. The dominance of each fruity aspect changes with time. Easy drinking but not simple. Nice composition and balance with light salty minerality and a varietal typical bitter finish. Bites of CO2 help enhance the fresh side of this grasevina. 89 — 8 years ago
This particular riesling was the reason I got addicted to this beautiful wine.It was back in 1999 when I drank it and it was the first vintage of 1997 in the new vineyard of a really interesting local winemaker Joza Jelancic.19 years later it's still a beauty.Straw to light golden with beautiful clarity.Really nice and complex but still vibrant nose.Beeswax, honey, pollen followed by sweet apricot, pineapple and intense wet stone.Nice layers on the palate with interchangeable acidity, minerality and sugars. 91 — 8 years ago
Huge fizz of CO2 is the first thing you notice after your pour the wine.I was afraid that it started to referment, fortunately not.(Over)developed nose, almost too matured for such a young wine. Over ripe apples, bananas, pear and flowers. Oh, there's melon too. Nice complexity on the nose but lacks that fresh, mineral bite that Coronica is known for. Nice on the palate elegant and refined with subtle minerality and smooth finish. It is far more better on the palate than on the nose. Maybe just my bottle. 86 — 8 years ago
Full golden color with some serious intensity on the nose.Yeasty notes, mediterranean herbs, chamomile, fresh hay, honey, tropical fruit with a vanilla oaky aromas.A bit overdominant wood on the palate but with great smooth structure and cool climate freshness. When the wine breathes some air it gets softer and more round and reveals full harmonic complexity. It really is a special white wine with evident distinction from Posip Intrada which is more fruit forward. Both are one of the best Dalmatian whites. 88 — 8 years ago
Great golden yellow color with a very good clarity. Bees wax, honey, serious petroleum at first. As it heats up it opens up the fruit (mature apple, apricot, pineapple, orange peel), herbs and earthy aromas. I sat and smelled the wine for 15 minutes without tasting it. The palate deserved the pleasure too. Great complexity, with deep layers of elegancy typical for a top notch mosel riesling. Still young and still peaking, all you need is to gather your thoughts and enjoy this awesome riesling. 95/100 — 8 years ago

Young, green to straw yellow color with hints of CO2 bubbles in the glass. Seriously complex nose which reveals mature, deep, layered riesling. I'm almost 100% certain it was matured in large oak barrels. There are predominant aromas of honey, riped apricot, candied fruit, flint and smoke. This one is a bomb! It tastes exceptionally elegant, harmonious and balanced with great juicy finish. Speechless! Awesome Pfalz riesling!
