Living up to its name, this “off-piste” skin-contact amphora-fermented high-altitude Pinot Grigio is so orange it’s rosé. Subtle floral nose (Alma says Jolly Rancher) that bursts like fresh picked fraise du bois on the palate, with enough grip to keep things interesting. — 6 years ago
Bravissimo! Complex and intoxicating on the nose, this high alcohol wine developed elegantly and was a pleasure from first to last. I’m gonna be on the lookout for a case. — 6 years ago
Coming in at 25 Euros (restaurant price!) this biodynamic beauty punches so far above its weight class it’s hard not to be a fan. Complex and utterly pleasant to drink - we drank this particular bottle with Bistecca - this is a versatile daily drinker and the secret weapon for your next brown bag tasting. — 6 years ago
Corked. So sad. Bought this from a specialty wine merchant in Dosoduro, Venice who had an amazing selection of interesting wines. On his recommendation, I need to find this again and try it when it’s good. — 6 years ago
Found this little gem on the menu at Del Cambio in Torino. A tad grippy, the only thing I remember about this wine was that it was the perrrrfect palate refresher for the tajarin al burro e tartufo bianco. — 6 years ago
Underwhelming. Super tight, grippy Barolo that refused to opened up. I was intrigued by the story of this winery - the renegade son disowned by his father for making big changes - but the wine didn’t quite live up to the promise. Like that college “friend” who takes himself a little too seriously, maybe all this wine needs is another decade to loosen up. — 6 years ago
