I think this is simply one of the best reds ever produced in Canada. 2016 was an exceptionally long, hot summer/fall in Niagara, and these grapes were not picked until late November. The result is a rich, round Cabernet with lots of body and extraordinary depth. In a blind tasting, a winemaker friend identified it as a quality Chilean cab. Made from more than 10 grape varieties, this is a soft, round and delicious Portuguese red blend. Just enough tannins to keep it from being overly jammy. At C$15, it’s a sensational bargain. — 4 years ago

Wow-terrific, refined with good body and classic cab depth and easy tannins. Great wine for the money. — 5 years ago
Don Sawyer
Syrah/Grenache/Mourvèdre blend from Languedoc. A little young and rough around the edges, but very pleasant. — 4 years ago
