Shaw and Smith produce amazing wine and this wine is perhaps there leading white. I'm always soft towards chardonnay due to my admiration for the varietal, but Shaw and Smith create that buttery goodness I love with great acid, balance and length. Butter, lemon grass, apple. — 10 years ago
Raspberry, strawberry and big forest floor, wet leaves, decent acidity. — 10 years ago
Raisins, stewed peaches (I think) plenty of booze. — 10 years ago
Tropical fruits, green apple, wet stone, a little grassy and some decent acid - perhaps off-dry. — 10 years ago

Coffee, chocolate/mocha and a whole bunch of red fruit still very present on this almost twenty year old wine. Tannins still definitely there with red fruits starting to mix with secondary flavours on the palate. Frightfully as a new world dominated wine drinker this wine still bucket loads of potential. — 10 years ago
