Had the 98. Bone dry. This wine was incredibly complex. Gun smoke and diesel and apricot on the nose. The front pallet was round, deep and viscous but finished with stone fruit and bright acidity. — 8 years ago
Had the 99 and 01 side by side. A blend of Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional & Tinta Roriz. 99 was past its prime.. Definitely lacking fruit and vibrancy in the mouth. The 01 was lovely with big blueberry, black berry and black currant. The nose shows a slight hint of Bret but it's doesn't overpower the fruit. Overall an interesting wine — 8 years ago
Toasted orange peel and fresh strawberries on the nose. This wine is clean and very user friendly. The pallet is light and approachable with great fruit and not a lot of bitter tannin. — 8 years ago
This wine had a aromas of crushed peanut shell. Winemaker likely going for a flinty reduction but missed the mark. The front pallet had nice acidity, however the wine finished with an astringent bitterness. This wine was off balanced and awkward. — 8 years ago
Unoaked (as expected) crushed seashell and sliced green apple on the nose. Pallet is crisp and tart with pear and apple fruit. This is a clean wine that most likely did not go through malolactic fermentation. Great for scallops, clams, and lobster. — 8 years ago
Pyrazines show through but is balanced with dark cherry and black plum fruit. The nose is complex with hints of sesame and soy sauce and green padron peppers. Great wine.. — 8 years ago
Crisp & clean. Juicy acidity. Apples. Pear. Overall a great wine — 8 years ago
The 09 was dark and young. Lacked complexity and was overripe. — 8 years ago
Opened at noon with lunch. Closed nose and showed young for an 8 year old wine. 3 hours later it opened up with aromas of bacon grease & black pepper. Grainy tannins with dark fruit character. Dark cherry, blackberry and mulberry. A bit overripe but still an interesting wine. — 8 years ago

Elegant and luscious. A little "barnyard" funk but doesn't overpower the fruit. — 8 years ago
