Angry out of the bottle but definitely settles down with time into a very enjoyable cab. Cherry vanilla some oak light cigar box, light powdery tannin, some acidity, will cellar longer but good now. Better in 2 years. We got this for a steal at $50. — 10 years ago

Wow what a rare opportunity to taste a1976 vintage of this wine. After 40 years this wine was still tasting well which is sign of good well structured tannins. Most of the fruit had dropped off leaving a smooth silky finish. — 10 years ago

A bit of chocolate and cherry round full body. Drinking with friends I actually forgot it was a merlot. Very good. There are good merlots out there and this is one of them. — 10 years ago

Rich dark black fruits, inky color, full body with long finish. A bit tight that could have used to open up a bit more although not necessary decant. — 10 years ago
