Celebrating the completion of my Christmas shopping. Time to put the feet up and relax. — 10 years ago
A lovely traditional style Rioja. Old oak, earth and a hint of spice on the nose. A little funk at first that blew off. Fresh clean fruit, medium weight, soft tannin, continued evolution in the glass towards rustic spicy nuances and solid structure suggests a long life ahead. Glad I've got a few more stashed away. — 10 years ago
A Valentine's Day red enjoyed with slow cooked ribs. High octane, dark fruit Shiraz is not my style but my wife likes fruit bombs so we cracked open this bad boy. A huge wine but it held up nicely to the rich sauce. Needed a 3 hour decant before it loosened up. Alcohol a tad high for my taste but again this is not my style. A happy wife so that's the main thing. — 10 years ago
Nice off dry Spätlese. Nothing too complicated going on but good balance. My wife likes her Riesling on the dry side with a lighter body and citrus notes whereas I enjoy ripe fruit and denser texture. This wine seemed to work for both of us somehow. Paired quite nicely with pad Thai from the mall 😚. — 10 years ago

Really nice after 20 minutes of air. — 10 years ago
After a week with a cold, a sore throat from coughing, this Bobal hits the spot. Tastes like a smooth, fruity lozenge. Che que Bo! — 10 years ago
My first and last bottle of the '01. Early in its drinking window but still delicious. Wish I had more. — 10 years ago

Great structure and complexity. Glad I have a few more of these as it will continue to develop. Lots of sediment so it needs to stand a day or so before pouring. A lovely 2011 Gamay. — 9 years ago
