Lots of citrus and coastal stone on the nose with a backbone of tropical style fruit. On the palate, high acid yet very good balance of fruit, leaning towards a zippy and vibrant style reminiscent of effervescent Vinho Verde. Palatable and easy to match with food. Great wine! — 7 years ago
Like most mineral-driven whites, there is racing acidity with a stoney backbone that doesn't disappoint. The underlying almond richness in this wine really sets it apart though with a savory quality that is bold yet elegant. Definitely allow to come down in temperature to really get the beauty of this wine! Love you Encruzado!!! — 7 years ago
Dark berries, leather, and earthiness on nose. Beautiful rustic color. Bright pop of acid with elegant dark berry fruit behind it. Super soft fine tannins👌🏻. Highly recommend🍷 — 7 years ago
Bell pepper, spice, and deep dark berry fruit on the nose. Medium bodied, bright, vibrant berry fruit, but firm tannins make it a well balanced palate. Versatile food wine and decent on its own also! — 7 years ago
Bright, peppery fruit on nose and palate with a mineral driven backbone and slightly firm tannins. The mineral notes ultimately make this wine more interesting for me though this Douro blend is a decent wine on its own and could be a good food wine as well, just nothing super exciting about it. — 7 years ago
Nose has good bright berry fruits with decent bell pepper and minerality with slight spice. Palate lends ripe fruit to the nose and only develops more richness as it opens up. Finish is dry and clean with very soft tannins but develops more silky expression as it opens. Really versatile wine! — 7 years ago
This Encruzado has a nice round body to it and solid minerality as well, but falls a little flat for me on the mid palate to the finish. There's just enough oak nuance yet perhaps a year of age could create a little more richness. Overall very tasty and a good food wine 👍 — 7 years ago

Soft ripe berries on the nose with a definite vegetal earthy note. Rich, supple fruit on the palate with touch of that vegetal vibe, and very soft tannins. Pasta, swordfish, carnitas... I feel more Austrian already😉 — 7 years ago
