Recently, I was discussing wine reviews and tasting notes with a friend. She asked why couldn't wine reviews be more accessible, instead of only decipherable by those "in the know" - I paraphrase but you get the point.

I could not agree more, there is no need to understand what full bodied and bold means, or long on the tongue to simply enjoy wine. Why can't we say, "this tastes like wine flavoured Bakewell tarts, unless you drink it with a plate of spaghetti carbonara, then it tastes like feet and smells like armpits." At least then the unwashed masses, such as I, could understand what the hell the reviewer is going on about.

So, in that spirit, this wine is fruity and goes down easy. I believe that it would go well with bbq foods. It's really bloody tasty and when I have better cash flow, I will buy it again.

Debbie says, "I don't know, let me drink some more... No, no, it's fine I can have what's left, I'm still not sure... Pour a bit more please."

Even after breathing for an hour this was only just acceptable... It tastes mass produced.

"I'm every woman", says Debbie...

I think "I feel for you" - it's gotta be tough...

That's when I realise this wine is not Chaka Khan. What it is, though, is a fantastic Argie red.

Vanilla, berries, nubile tannins with a crisp finish... Likely the best bottle I've had from South America.

So this wine is kinda like John Malkovich in "In the Line of Fire", slightly chubby but sprightly.

You can see its belly wobble as it runs but it keeps going... Medium bodied with some endurance. It is a superb Argie wine, yes it is a blend but very well balanced. Great fruit and has a long finish.

At $15 it is a good wine, when it is on sale for $13, it is outstanding value.

Best thing about this is the label, which is kinda cool. Beyond that, it's very average. Certainly not inspiring enough for a more robust review. — 10 years ago

Solid French blended wine... It went down far too quickly, a quaffing wine...

Rich and complex, lots of berry flavours and spices. At this price this is an excellent wine, a new staple.
