Nicely done. Complex mix of dry and sweet. If anything, just a bit too high in acidity. — 4 months ago
Standardly good red. I’d recommend drinking this one closer to room temp as it highlights the depth of flavor. Not as much depth as I expected though. — 9 months ago
Outstanding. First sips were overly dry and tannin rich for me but as my palate adjusted I grew to really love it. Let this one splash against your rear taste buds instead of just savoring each sip slowly. The flavor opens up with a fullness of grape must, leather, oak, tobacco, and of course, the wonderful Sangiovese fruit. — a year ago
Well balanced between tart and sweet fruit as the vintage would suggest. Let this one warm up as I saw a bigger than usual difference between low 60s and high 60s in serving temp. — 4 months ago
Crazy that this uses a grape wine base. If tasting blind I would have thought it were Kahlua or Bailey’s. Sweet with a bit of heat. Very tasty overall. — 5 months ago
Dry, borderline natural wine but lacking complexity. Grape flavor just seems muted. I’ll admit that my palate for wine is green but I expected more from this one given the high ratings. — 9 months ago
Really maturing well after 25 years. Notes of honey mead, candied citrus, and stone fruit. Probably started out dry but turning a nice level of sweetness after all these years. Not sure if this is an orange wine or if the color just changed but it’s a lovely light amber. — 4 months ago
Complex with a very natural fruit profile. Something subtle is off about the finish, however. — 7 months ago
Overrated imo. First few sips were delicious because it’s so fruit forward but as I drank more, I felt it was lacking complexity. Drank it side by side with a Donatella Riserva. Both Brunellos were 10 years old but the Donatella delivered so much more depth. — a year ago

Wonderful cab. Fruit forward which makes sense given the vintage. Layers of complexity make this a really interesting one as it warms and changes character. — 3 months ago
