Rarely can I enjoy a wine as much without food as with food. And I'm not a natural fan of Italian wines so this is a rare surprise. Very well balanced and restrained for an Italian red. Delicious with our roast chicken tonight. Tannins are not to heavy, balanced with earthiness. A great wine to drink long into the evening. — 10 years ago

Medium dark, deep color. Bottle bouquet. Hints of pomegranates and walnuts. Lovely tannin. Long finish, a little heat at the end, slightly astringent. Pine resin in the aroma. — 10 years ago
