The Dry River Chardonnay, nougat, dry clay bed and dried apricot on the nose. A burst of pink lady apple, followed quickly by a fleeting sensation of orange and cumquat starts off the palate, which then continues on to a long zesty sour gooseberry finish. What's left is an ever so slightly buttery sensation in the mouth. Well balanced, but the sweetness and flavours could be toned down just a touch to add a bit of elegance and prestige. — 11 years ago
