Nov 8th, 2022I typically like Valpolicella a Ripasso wines from the Veneto, however this one seemed out of balance to me. To me, the nose was dominated by tertiary notes of oak, wood spice, dried flowers and an odd vegetal note which overpowered the red and black fruits. Once I got past the tertiary notes, the wine did reveal rich raspberry and black plum along with a hint of vanilla. This wasn’t a bad wine by any means, but I think i was a bit overpriced for the quality.

Decent wine. Nothing to complain. Elegant, not sweet, nice tannins. If you need sth deeper, then maybe lacks a bit in this department.
