Followed it's younger sibling with a more fuller tasting entry in this family of beautiful italian wines. The extra process of the repassing the grapes from the Amarone vintages gives this wine the extra body and fullness that I believe make this wine a must in my opinion. Bolder, smoother... a touch fruitier than its younger sibling you see in the background. A great way to taste the differences between the 2 of the same grape with a different namesake. Only thing that was missing was the Amorone to take it to the next level.😊👍👍

Opaque, nearly black. Smells of ancient, wet, rainy oak and stables, evoking images of antebellum England. Rain, rain, lots of rain. Must have been a very wet year. High sulphur-nitrogen nose. Medium-low viscosity. Bitter, sharp, dry taste. High alcohol content. Tinny spoiled grape aftertaste. Tastes like a few wines blended or mixed together. Not for me.

Wonderful lush wine. Secondary fermentation suppresses the acid making it soft, dark fruit, with a hint of chocolate raisin. Great with spicy food or a Sunday pork ragu.
