The nose is beyond intriguing. Imagine sticking your face in a leather bag full of sour black cherries, chocolate shavings, and wild green foliage. Raisin-ey on the palate, with great complexity. Is it minty, or more of a tarragon? Not sure...but give me more! It gets a touch sour towards the finish...maybe it needs another few years to soften up.

Beautiful bold full flavoured wine.
Should be a staple in anyone's cellar.

Smooth, black cherry, fruit forward, short finish. Looks heavy almost like a heavy Pinot noir. Great on its own and more fruity with a cheese plate. Great compliment to Italian dinner. 2011

Very nice wine. Whet was disappointing was getting this bottle when I thought I was ordering an Amarone! That bis how the restaurant presented it! As a valpolicella the flavor was full bodied yet smooth.
