Surprisingly perfumed on the nose with lovely purple floral scent along with varietally correct aromas of ripe plum, blueberry, peppery spices, and just a hint of game. Rich and smooth on the palate with medium round acidity. Mellow tannins. And similar to the ‘18, alcohol is a bit unchecked on the finish.
Overall very enjoyable.

I think this is the only 1 of 2 100% Mourvèdre bottling I’ve tasted, the other being the ever so popular Juan Gil silver label.
Intense red fruits. Spicy and quite meaty, but the fruits are quite pure. Medium to full body with fresh acidity. Not as tannic as expected. Finish with a bit heat. Not sure it will improve with aging.
Maybe time to try some Bandol.

Fruity but not overpowering. Well balanced.
