Wild Arc Farm
Hudson River Gamay Noir
Earthy and savory. Some fizz. Acid driven, red plum.

Apr 13th, 2022Definitely the weirdest wine I’ve ever had. Stinky wild yeasts.

Nov 28th, 2021This wine is out of balance. There’s some residual sugar in there, but it’s still really acidic. There’s a slight fizz. It’s one of those natural wines that tastes more like kombucha than anything else. Normally, I like wine from Wild Arc, support their ethos, and am usually relatively forgiving with even the funkiest natural wines, but this one is teetering on the edge of being one of those wines that gives natural wine a bad name. According to their website, this was their first foray into Gamay. I’m hoping they iron some of the kinks out in future releases.
