This Piesporter Riesling feinherb from the Mosel has been made by Douro pioneer Dirk van der Niepoort with the grapes and foudres of the highly talented Philipp Kettern. It's a pure and delicious wine with the perfume of slate and herbs and a rather light body (11.5 ABV) with a rather dry yet intense taste. Great type of Riesling that becomes rarer and rarer since nowadays German Riesljngs tend to be full bodied and dry or very sweet and light-bodied. This Niepoort Premiere in the Mosel valley is an excellent Riesling to match with food or thirst.
