100% Viura from 50-60 years old vines from a historic estate in Baños de Rioja which once belonged to Eugenia de Montijo, Napoleon III’s wife (hence its name). Since 2017 it has been recognized as Viñedo Singular (Rioja’s equivalent to grand cru). Fermented in concrete (50%) and oak barrels (50%). Aged in oak for 10 months followed by another 10 months in concrete. Delicate nose with aromas of beeswax, chamomile, fennel and floral notes. Citrus flavors (lemon), chamomile. Quite fresh. Long finish
