Of all the 09 bottles from CVNE I’ve tasted, this single vineyard bottle is my favorite. Aroma of red and black fruits along with herbs and spices. The round and broad palate is impeccably balanced with fresh fruits and velvety tannins. Not super complex, but graceful and seamless. Matured in used oak barrels only.

Смородиновый джем, черничный конфитюр, ежевика, лёгкая молочка, сухая кора, земля. Среднее тело с объемной, плюшевой фруктовостью; стройная кислотность; готовые, но яркие танины. Выразительно, экспрессивно, чуть жарко, без лишнего дуба, с хорошей концентрацией, на грани новосветскости. Уже готово, но ещё молодо.

Smooth yet complex at the same time. Medium bodied. Drank this right after a beautiful 9.3 pro rated wine (which I rated at 9.0). This is above the previous one, 9.1 for me wow!!! Beautiful wine!

Delicious Single Vineyard Rioja from CVNE. Bright cherry raspberry with medium acidity as expected in a Rioja. Surprised and delighted (even though I typically love the American Oak influence) with the subtle oak presence. This wine is rich, elegant, balanced and keeps on giving.
