After seeing the WE 94pt score for this, I figured I’d get out of my comfort zone and give it a try. Nose is soft, ripe black and blue fruit, pie crust, and mild pipe tobacco. Lush and silky in the mouth, with medium acid and tannins. Way more restrained than I expected for Paso Robles, and very good for the style of wine it is.
