Valencay blanc les beaux monts 2019, vignoble Roy
Very floral nose with elder flower, an herbal touch too. There is a citrusy nose too with yuzu and lemon. That's a good Sauvignon nose. The palate is easy going with a strong acid drive, a nice lemony note all along, a strong grip, a nice build up in mid palate and a long finish with lemon and lemon peel notes in the end, bringing a slight bitter note. It was served along a raclette (the very last one of the season) and held its ground quite nicely against an avalanche of melting dairy based heaven.
