Vignobles David
Les Masques Red Rhone Blend
Color of clear dark purple mixed with bloody vivid red. Nose of racy sweetness form dried strawberry, raisin, and cherry, moderate strength of alcohol, a bit metallic note, sage, and some grilled peppers. Taste is surprisingly dry with nice oak, powerful tannins, some bitter earthy and metallic note, menthol, and really fruit note in the background. Aftertaste of tannins, firm, some more bitter note, a bit peppery note, a touch of fruit, and some clove. She is still too young. I should've waited for her to mature.
I decided to let her breathe for a while. After 30 minutes, the fruit note surface, and with some cola note showing up too. Also some leafy tobacco note. The tannins is still very powerful, and I still recommend to sit this one for at least another year.
