Dark purple. On the nose dark fruits, plums, sultan raisins and some earthy mineral notes. On the palate this is concentrated following the nose. This is big and bold and has some residual sweetness but on the other hand good acidity and fine tannins giving the wine structure and preventing being flabby. Just a tad less sweetness and this would be a great alternative for good Amarone. This goes well with hearty braised dishes, ossobucco and likes. Good qpr
