A lovely rum neat, on the rocks. Though it's not a dark rum, also tried in my current cocktail fancy - a dark n stormy.
Somewhat dry. Smells a bit like alcohol suspended vanilla extract. A fair comparison as that stuff is often bottled at 35% abv. Banana chips, dried fruits. Can taste the wood it was aged in. A pleasant finish of toasted coconut. I like! But then again, I like any rum that doesn't trigger my gag reflex, recalling one unfortunate night with a bottle of Bacardi Superior.
