This is dope, great to taste a stylistic departure from the Commando G and other Landi wines. This is structured, more extracted and incorporating some new oak it seems (very well I might add). This 2011 is drinking great. Nose is fragrant with rich tones of raspberry confiture, roasted red plums, powdered sugar, sweet wood, mushroom, asian spices. Palate is beguiling, roasted/cooked fruit character matching followed by cinnamon, pastilles, sweet licorice, amaro spice, coffee, and garrigue. Structured with present yet fine tannin, definitely highlighted by the oak upbringing.
