I love St Emilion Grand Cru as an appelation but this one is really a bit of a mixed bag. Nice aromas and taste but not very balanced and thin mouth feel. This has all what you will come to expect from the region with solid notes of vanilla cassis and tobacco blackcurrant cherry with a leather finish. However the thinness and lack of complexity results in a 3.7/8.7

My first suggestion is let it decant and open up for one hour.

Definitely needs time to breath. Was much better the next day (fruity, good balance, prominent tanins). Simply opened for few mins, cork back and another taste the next evening - much more enjoyable! Will buy it if I'll get a chance, but won't open anytime soon, just "let it be" for a while.

Vino de capa baja en nariz poco expresivo cuero y poca fruta, tb bastante alcohólico. En boca entrada correcta con algo de tostado corto y con poco volumen.

Lovely. Medium tannin. Not too dry. Had it with curry.

Nice, better the nextday after breathing. Quite good value at £10.99 from Lidl.

This one may have been the best of our batch of grocery store wines. That's not to say it was fabulous, but at least it was structured and could pair well with a plate of charcuterie. The Cab came through well here too.
