During Wine Appreciation in my college years this was one of the “aha!” wines I tried during the sensory analysis labs we would take. I just remember tasting this and thinking, “I had no idea a wine could be this rich and dense.” The mouth-drying sensation of the tannins was also a very appealing and intriguing characteristic that I fell in love with.

Perfumed with cocoa, molasses, dried raisins and cherries, and sweet tobacco. What a delicious wine.
