A pleasant Californian CS from the central coast, deep dark color, lovely nose full of black fruits, black current, spicy oak and vanilla, medium body with well integrated tannins and pleasant acidity. Nice smooth flattering finish. My score 87, drink to 2019

I usually don't buy wines from Paso Robles, but since I know the winery owner I thought I would try it. Have to say I was pleasantly surprised! Would definitely try again.

This is definitely in the big gun Cab camp. Mint, licorice, raspberry, pencil lead all on the nose. Minerals with dark chocolate and overripe cherries on the palate lead to a gripping tannic finish. Good wine for those that drink wine after a meal like one might smoke a cigar.
