Simply wonderful. Inky purple, fruity nose, jammy and smooth. The last half glass goes well with dark chocolate.

New to this whole wine thing, I learned, too late, that zinfandels are best drunk young. Well, this sucker is eight years old already! With little expectation, I presented this bottle at dinner tonight, trying to make the best of things, as we are in strongly-advised- lockdown due to coronavirus. I am happy to report that the wine was quite lovely. Dark sweet fruit, some spicy figgy-ness and great buttery rich mouthfeel. Yes, the mouthfeel is my favorite characteristic of this wine. It is worthy of my candlelit dinner table. Stay well in these days of uncertainty.
