Deep, dark and mellow, with a big nose and a great purple hue, this sustainably farmed petite Sirah is proof that contra Costa can pull it off. Deep plum flavors with a little spice and very subdued tannins make for a pleasurable experience when heavy meats or cheeses won't be on the table but the celebrants still call for big flavors. Not complex but very flexible and quite satisfying.

Seriously flawed bottle, hot alcohol and fizzy. Guess I could cook with it.

Smooth and fruity for a red zen. I prefer something more full bodied.
