As usual a great value. Expansive nose of dark blackberry, and a eucalyptus-tinged herbal note. Rich and broad in the mouth, but with a nice core of soft tannin and just enough acid to keep it together.

Jul 24th, 2018Opened it last night, and it was dark and not super approachable. Night 2 it's more friendly. (Unfortunately, it doesn't go with what I'm eating tonight, but whatevs.) Great go-to for a rich, weighty weekday dinner companion. Rich, fragrant fruit, freshly tilled dry soil. Full, rich, dark tangy fruit.

Dec 2nd, 2016Better than the 2012. Beautiful deep ripe spicy blackberry fruit and whiffs of wood smoke and dark minerals. Rich and mouthfilling but with good acids (which is what differentiates it from the'12). Great value at under $20.
