A highly attractive pale crimson color with cherry red undertones and a thin rim. On the nose, there’s a nice bit of old leather and cedar. So much depth and complexity happening here. Raspberries and slightly faded strawberries present themselves rather gracefully. Old cigars and cloves with muted potpourri. A very welcome dose of forest floor and sexy, moist funk. It just keeps going on and on with more red summer fruits making an appearance.

Single vineyard Burgundy from a tiny plot planted in 1986. Not quite a budget Burg and definitely a step above entry level, this is a stellar wine at this level. Approachable acidity and dry tannins. Light bodied and lissome, this playfully dances on the tongue. Mushrooms and earth on the palate with smoked vanilla. Dried herbs and dried red fruits frolic together with licorice and cocoa. Impressive length and depth. Well crafted structured and elegance.
