I decanted this for three hours to allow the flavors to open up a bit. Lots of strawberry and dark berry aromas and flavors. Hints of licorice. Bold flavors, with medium tannins, with a nice, silky mouth feel. There's much to like here now, but probably even better in a few years. Very nice.

Dark berries but very mute right now. Coffee and mocha with some earthiness and acitone. Velvety tannins, dark berries, coffee and earth. Great balance, with nicely integrated oak and graphite. Slightly pithy but just a touch. Good wine, but needs a few years.

Feb 18th, 2016The nose has the gentle Grenache entry but evolves into a larger smell. Blue fruits on the palate with a fresh and spicy finish of black pepper and almost jalapeño notes. This wine is awesome and just a baby.
