This is my first Indian wine. Sula 2012 Shiraz from Nashik Vintners Pvt in Maharashtra, India. The bouquet is absolutely Indian spice candy, the kind you get when you leave the Indian restaurant in the bowl on the counter at the exit door! The color is dark. The legs are long and moderately slow. It is 13.5 % alc. the initial palate has hints of plum and dark berries. There is a raspberry jam beginning. The finish is moderately dry with a beautiful smokey aftertaste. There is pepper and chocolate as well in the finish!
