I really wanted to like this beer, but there wasn't one thing I enjoyed about it. I don't mind bittersweet chocolate, but want it to be a rich flavor. This was thin and bitter. :(

Jan 6th, 2016Enjoyed it with my spicy Asian dinner. Liked it but not getting those citrus, tropical or peach notes. It's medium hop, full, earthy and good.

First thing from Stone Brewing that I'm not crazy about. It's not bad but it's a great time to be alive because there are plenty of better double IPAs out there IMO. I like my doubles a bit malty-err like Shipwrecked or Double Daddy. Good but not great.
