Evolved very nicely. Somehow sweeter, richer and with a longer finish than in 2015. Best analogue is a grand cru burgundy. It doesn’t get much better than this. Perfect drinking window right now.

So much interesting stuff in a single bottle. Rapidly evolving nose that settled to a burnt popcorn and beeswax, with a strong midpalate full of minerals and acidity. Long, long finish that was both round and pleasantly sharp. Awesome wine with a tragic story. #montlouis #minerality #chenin #rocksinmyglass
