A nearly perfect wine. Sweetness had dissipated. Salty meaty herby goodness. Tasted like Côte de boeuf with tarragon. Not too much acid either. Almost weightless. Have had some disappointing wines from 98, but great producers who were meticulous were able to transcend the vintage.
